After the dust from Valentine's Day settles, Good Times would like to invite you to return with us to House of Yes for an evening of delightful aural time-travel. On Saturday, February 23rd, we've arranged for a program of dance music that many of you haven't heard in years, but have been clamoring for ever since. Old school drum & bass, the delightfully uplifting, melodic and liquid sounds that get pumped through speakers in Brixton & Bristol, here in Brooklyn for ONE NIGHT ONLY! No MCs, no idiots with microphones rhyming the name of the DJ ad nauseum, just the amazing music you've come to expect from Good Times.
After making some calls, calling in some favors and doing some things with Guncle I'm not proud of, Good Times will be able to showcase 6 hours of DJs who can't wait to remind us of that drum & bass sound. Don't worry, this won't be the hoodie & camo pants music we avoid at 18+ events or the ear-splitting crunch you're assaulted by at the big box clubs. The smooth beat work, that hasn't been popular on this side of the pond since Y2K, will be served up in delicious hour-long servings by some of the most talented bass magicians in the tri-state area. We've also got a very special guest coming in from out west. One of the authentic players when it comes to D&B in Brooklyn, ph10 is returning to remind all of us younglings how it gets done.
Drink specials until 11, and we'll keep them as cheap as possible, such that we can still pay the talent. The Age of Aquarius is upon us, and one of our producers, Tarik, is turning 30. So, come on out, don't flirt too hard with Guncle at the door, grab some cheap drinks, spin around the stripper pole a couple of times and get down all night to some of the finest drum & bass we've been able to scrounge up from the depths of Gotham City.
